The Plans Of The Pakistani Dictator
India has, once again obtained strong evidence which tells of
Pakistan's plans to increase cross-border terrorism to destabilize
conditions in different parts of the country with special focus on
Jammu and Kashmir.
The government has prepared a document in which names of various
Pakistani and Muslim agencies involved in promoting Islamic
terrorism are present. Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI)
figures high in the list along with Lashkar-e-Toiba,
Harkat-Ul-Mujahideen, Jamaat-e-Islami, the Taliban and other such
terrorist organizations. The government states that this document
was prepared with inputs from various security and intelligence
agencies, including the Jammu and Kashmir CID.
The document states that the ISI with the help of the Pakistani
military and the mujahideen (Islamic terrorists) is actively
involved in aiding and encouraging a secessionist movement and
terrorist activities in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. The
document clearly points out that Pakistan's regular forces
including its elite special regiments are actively involved in
helping the Islamic terrorists. It states that in Kargil these
forces had actively taken shelter behind the veil of mujahideen
attacks.
With the military takeover in Pakistan the terrorists are
expecting and have been promised the full support of the Pakistani
army. The increased efforts to destabilize Jammu and Kashmir and
the daring attacks on Indian military installations shows the
growing confidence and boldness of these Islamic terrorists. Every
day news of the terrorists stepping up their heinous activities
warns us of Pakistan's dangerous designs to invade India.
Recently, the terrorists once again directed their attacks at the
Indian army when they detonated a powerful Improvised Explosive
Device (IED) at Nehalpora Pattan near an Army camp. The attack
left three Indian soldiers dead and three others critically
wounded.
Another incident which points towards Pakistan's sinister plan is
the discovery of a tunnel by the Border Security Force in Dera
Baba Nanak sector near the zero line. This tunnel which runs from
the Pakistani territory towards India was being dug by Pakistani
soldiers and Pakistan-backed terrorists. Its purpose was to serve
as a corridor for smuggling narcotics and terrorists into the
country. The tunnel is 160 yards long and its height is five
feet-sufficient for a person to bend and walk. It also has air
holes, so that persons walking through it may be able to breathe
without difficulty. As the tunnel was discovered in a heavily
guarded area it is obvious that the digging work was being done
with the Pakistani Rangers having full knowledge of it. The
Pakistanis, however deny everything. Many other tunnels have been
detected in the past. Just two years ago a similar tunnel was
detected by the BSF in Anjala sector. The discovery of this tunnel
comes just a day after a flag meeting where both the BSF and its
Pakistani counterpart announced that they will stop hostilities
along the border.
Pakistan's actions are in line with their policy: put up a
friendly face up front while continuing to actively support
terrorism. The adherence to this back-stabbing policy is also
evident in Pervaiz Musharraf's actions. The military dictator of
Pakistan announced that he wants to hold talks with India. The
Indian reaction to this was that talks can only occur if Pakistan
stops all hostilities and their active support to cross-border
terrorism. It was no great surprise when the Pakistanis (who have
now become so adept at lying that it comes as first nature to
them) denied that they ever supported the Islamic terrorists. It
is quite amazing that they do not even feel ashamed while they
blurt out lies after lies. The Kargil conflict and the humiliating
defeat they suffered has taught them nothing as they have become
blind in their fanaticism.
The Islamists have chalked out a plan to bring widespread
instability in Jammu and Kashmir and subsequently in the rest of
India. Their campaign of terror is now largely concentrated in
weakening the Indian security forces. This is why the Pakistani
forces are concentrating on attempting to seize border posts. They
have also increase the amount of cross-border shelling. Meanwhile,
the terrorists are focusing on launching frontal and daring
attacks on Indian military headquarters and army patrols. Pakistan
hopes to divert the attention of the Indian armed forces by these
actions, so that it becomes easy to invade Jammu and Kashmir by
next year.
The document prepared by the government also points out that the
terrorists have a plan to eliminate the Sufi version of Islam and
establish the Sunni version of it in Jammu and Kashmir. The
document states that the Markaz-ul-Dawa-ul-Irshad and the
Jamaat-e-Islami in Pakistan are working together with the
Pakistani military to bring about this change in the state of
Jammu and Kashmir. The document reveals that strategically, Jammu
and Kashmir is very important to the military regime of Pakistan
as through this "gateway" they hope to Islamicize and
conquer the rest of India.
Seeing through Pakistan's sinister designs, the Prime Minister has
asked the armed forces to be extra vigilant as an increasingly
isolated, frustrated and unstable Pakistan may launch either a
covert or an overt military strike against India anytime. He has
also asked the armed forces to effectively counter infiltration
into the country. Home Minister L K Advani, on the other hand,
warned Pakistan that if it did not refrain from cross-border
terrorism India will give a harsh and befitting reply similar to
the one it received during the Kargil conflict.
It has already been discovered by the intelligence agencies that
Pakistan has plans to launch a major strike against India next
year. All their current activities are therefore geared towards
preparing for this attack. Intelligence sources have already
revealed that Pervaiz Musharraf plans to invade and control Jammu
and Kashmir by March/April of next year. The Indian forces must be
completely prepared for such an eventuality and in case Pakistan
makes the mistake of invading the country Indian response should
be swift, harsh and debilitating
